So, I looked at Ailsa’s travel theme of pathways. Glorious photographs! I started branching off with thoughts of, “what are pathways?”
A highway, too fast.
A road, significantly larger than a path.
A street or avenue, too residential.
A sidewalk, too synthetic.
A trail, too primitive.
The garden path, too cultured or … jejeje … too wild!
Off the beaten path, is that just a less traveled pathway?
Maybe something a little more abstract?
What path am I on? I haven’t a clue! My path seems resemble more a tree with a thousand branches than any specific direction.
But, I digress, back to the issue at hand.
Given that Dominican Republic is part of the island of Hispaniola, and discovered by Columbus in 1492, funded by the Spanish monarchy of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, Isabella the Catholic as she was known, I think this will be a one photo piece in honour of Isabella the Catholic. Wow! How was that for a run-on sentence? I broke the Cardinal rule! Oh well, MY blog 😀 jejeje, yes I can do that!
In honour of Queen Isabella, her beliefs, and the island of Hispaniola which started out and remains to this day, very Catholic, this … is a pathway followed by many …
Time to reflect …
for offering up the challenge of this assignment.
Listen to the palms…
